SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The Foster Network can assist children currently in the foster care system with the ability to participate in sports, activities, or cultural events.
The criteria for applying for a scholarship are:
Children in foster care are eligible if they are in long-term care.
The child or family requesting funds must approach the merchant and ask for a reduction in the cost of the activity, fee, or item associated with the request.
No other state or local programs would pay for the costs associated with the request.
BEDROOM FURNITURE ASSISTANCE
Furniture is available that we lend to foster families to help with the diversity that foster care can bring. We lend out these items to enable foster families to take in sibling groups, older or younger children, a little easier, knowing there is help with some of these items.
Some items are kept on hand, and some are purchased pending a need. The types of items that can be requested are dressers, bunk beds, toddler beds, and cribs.
Please complete the form on this page if you need one of these items. Items purchased before approval may not be reimbursed.
GIVE JOY THIS CHRISTMAS
We know Christmas can be a stressful time for children in foster care. Our Christmas program provides support to the foster family as a whole. Families can fill out wish list forms for the children living in their homes. Our goal is to help remove some of the stress and worries of Christmas, allowing families to focus on helping the children in their homes through the holiday season.
The application for this program is now open for families to sign up until October 15, 2024..
